Caring For Your Baby
Take your baby for his/her well-baby checkup.
Your baby should get these shots: DTaP, polio, Hib and Pneumococcal Conjugate (PCV).
Keeping Your Baby Safe
Keep your baby’s head supported when holding or moving it.
Nutrition
The only food your baby needs right now is breast milk or formula.
Growth and Development Activites
Let your baby feel different textures against his/her skin.
Show your baby faces and pictures of faces. Move them and see if your baby will follow the pictures.
Let your baby have some quiet time.
Imitate your baby’s movements and expressions.
Let your baby grasp objects in his/her hand, but make sure s/he does not put small objects in his mouth.
Develop a regular daily routine of caring for your baby.
Make it easier for your baby to hear and learn the patterns of words. Talk slowly, raise the pitch of your voice, and say your words VERY clearly. When you repeat words and phrases that helps your baby learn, too.
